Giampiero Belotti received strict humanistic education at the Christian Brothers Irish School Institute "Marcantonio Colonna" in Rome, where he was born in 1962; at the same time he attended his musical studies at the "Santa Cecilia" Conservatory of Music in Rome under the guide of M° Pietro Spada, who followed the young pianist in his post-graduation courses as well.
In Italy he also studied with M° Carlo Bruno, the pianist and composer Sergio Calligaris and the famous pianist M° Lazar Berman. Among his international experiences a course at the "Guild Hall School of Music and Drama" (Barbican Centre, London) held by M° J. York should be mentioned, another in the same year in Keszthely (Hungary) held by the great pianist G. Cziffra, and another one at the "Mozarteum" of Salzburg (Austria) held by M° A. Kontarsky.
He had his debut as a soloist in Rome at the age of 16 and from then on he has been having an intense activity which brought him to successfully playing for important venues such as the "Agostinianum" Hall, the “Mausoleum of Emperor Augusto", the Archeological Area of "Teatro Marcello", the "European Music Festival" in Rome; the “Conti Gentili” Hall (Alatri), the Castle of "Oriolo" in Italy; the "Mozarteum" (Salzburg), the Castle of "Keszthely" (Hungary) and the "Barbican Centre" in England, but also for a RAI TV Italian Television programme. He has had particularly interesting experiences of duets with flute and violin. Since 1997 a prestigious International Cruise Ship Company has invited him to play on board his Admiral Ship which brought him to perform in Greece, Turkey, Israel, Egypt, Cyprus and Malta and, from 2001 in Florida, Venezuela, Honduras, Mexico and other prestigious venues. From 2014 he helds a piano Chair in a Secondary School in Rome.
